We need to find a new way of doing things – that was the key message from extensive engagement across Te Tai Tokerau with communities, whānau, hapū, iwi, Ngāi Māori and health workers. Transforming the health system however is a complex task and it will take time to work out the best approach. The document is therefore a foundation upon which to build. It is a solid first step, but it is not set in stone and there is still plenty more to do.
